The exceptional setting of the Madeleine Mines and Mont Ernest-Laforce is where Ski Chic-Chocs principally offers guided backcountry activities and field trainings. We also offer guided activities in the area surrounding Route 299 both inside and outside of the Park and Reserve.
From our beginnings in 2006, Ski Chic-Chocs has developped an expertise in backcountry winter adventure tourism and training. With the help of our experienced guides and our equipment, we are able to offer a safe environment for practicing winter sports in the Chic-Chocs Wildlife Reserve as well as the Gaspésie National Park.
We became suppliers of guided backcountry winter services for the SEPAQ in the Gaspesie Provincial Park in 2008 as well as members of Adventure Ecotourism Quebec ( AEQ ). We have a unique arrangement with the SEPAQ and offer the only mecanized access to one of the best alpine terrains on the East Coast.
We also offer a wide range of mountain skills training programs including Avalanche Safety Training AST-1 and AST-2, specialized trainings in isolated areas, winter mountain travel as well as wilderness first-aid training.
“Mountains set the stage…
It’s up to us to write the story that goes along.”
